Whether in a European "Salon", or in an Indian "Adda", the tradition to come together and unpick the issues of the day is an old one. But the reality is that in our modern world, it's not done well enough. We're changing that.

Our group conversations open up the opportunity to deal with the messy together. By asking things that we may not in public, by sharing uncertainties and not fully understanding can we actually get to the heart of what we think, which will shape what we do and how we show up in the world.

We've now begun to embark on including 1:1 conversations. These will be "chai & chats" with people who've wisdom to share, who are doing phenomenal work and are consciously creating ripples in the world. We're particularly interested in learning from people pushing different perspectives, regenerative practitioners and those in the majority world.

THE GROUP ADDA WAY.

We're really protective of the spaces that we hold for our Addas. We've seen friendships form, intimacies created and we've held each other through tears and vulnerabilities. We hold ourselves to the following principles to shape the intention of each gathering.

so that we can share & learn intimately - this isn't a numbers game, it's about the depth of the experience.

about the things we don't / won't talk about - no question is too big or small and no reflection is wrong or right.

it only works if we're ready to show up - vulnerabilities, uncertainties and all.

of perspectives, experiences, race, identities and lived realities - we're done with binary views and representations.

COMING UP.

We'd love for you to come to one of our ADDAs, we really would but please understand the kind of space it is before you register; 1) unless really necessary for health or safety reasons, we ask sharers to have their videos on, 2) these are not Q&As, they're conversations so the richness of the discussion is dependent on you and how you share, 3) spaces are limited so this isn't a "I'll listen in whilst I drive" gathering, please only come if you can be fully present, equally if you can't make it for whatever reason, please let us know in advance so we can offer the space to someone else.

These work because they're opportunities for people to connect, we'd welcome the chance to connect with you.

Group ADDA with Satish Kumar

Radical Love & the messiness of showing up.

From his work inspiring connection to Soil, Soul & Society to the promotion of Radical Love in his last book, Satish Kumar has been encouraging us to take the path less travelled and messy than follow the convention of what "modern society" has charted out for us. It's not easy, in fact, it's hard.

In this intimate conversation, we encourage you to share your experiences and your own stories as we unpick the challenges, some of the frustrations and also what it takes to have acceptance in showing up to be in service of something, whatever that may be, that's bigger than ourselves.

DATE: 10 December 2024

TIME: 3-4.30pm GMT

REGISTRATION: To come (will be max 15 people)

CHECK OUT OUR CONVERSATIONS.

We're about creating the right spaces for people to share, listen, learn and when moved to, be vulnerable. So, though our longer, one-on-one conversations will be available for everyone to enjoy, our full group discussions remain reserved for those who take part. That said, we couldn’t resist sharing a taste of the magic with you. Below you'll also find shorter snapshots of the group sessions moderated by our Founder, Deepa Mirchandani, in dialogue with our conversation catalysts.
